Ode to Skunk
By Anne Glenn
Looking so prettyBy Anne Glenn
Like a kitty
You want to play
You have a stripe
And a gripe
As you sway
You roam at night
In the moonlight
Making you way
You want a mate
Her name is Kate
In the month of May
You fall for her
To make her purr
You release your spray
How you smell
We can tell
Please go away
It drifts into the window
And onto our pillows
Making us anything but gay
He wants to share
So please beware
The skunk is here to stay
